Kind of an exciting day today.  SpaceX has succesfully launched their Falcon 9 rocket, evidentally lofting the Dragon capsule into Earth orbit.

This is the first time a private company has gotten to orbit all by itself.   (Usually NASA launches what the private companies build.)

Scaled Composites, with SpaceShipOne only went to sub-orbit.
