As our state-mandated lock-down came to a conclusion, with the Phase 2 reopening of Nevada’s economy… another black person was murdered by police and the nation has been righteously outraged.

Unfortunately that outrage often comes with violence and mayhem and my city suffered it over the weekend. First time, in my life I think, I’ve been under curfew orders.

But for the most part it is just stuff. We clean, we rebuild, we move on from it.

Me and mine are safe and sound. Feeling very conflicted about everything.

It sucks to see this happen to my town but I feel we bring this upon ourselves by refusing to take action and put an end to those things that these protests are really about putting an end to. It’s not enough to just listen, but we aren’t really doing even that.
